Pollu-Escape is an open source Microsoft Azure IoT application that helps users make air-quality informed decisions. We won 2nd place among 300+ participants from the United States.

The Problem:

City administrators lack time series data to meaningfully analyze the impact of these initiatives, Homebuyers are unable to make environmentally motivated decisions when searching for their next home and users with health conditions need a way to make informed decisions while exploring the outdoors.

The Solution:

An IoT Sensor Network collects Air Quality (VOC, particulates, temperature, humidity) data at high resolution in an eco-friendly manner.

The Problem: Digital companions are often "trapped" within a single device or interface, creating a fragmented emotional experience as users move between 2D screens and 3D environments.

The Challenge: How can we design a persistent AI entity that maintains its persona and context across a seamless transition from a web dashboard to a Meta Quest 3 headset?

Hardware and IOT setup

As the teams' product/hardware designer, I designed the bicycle-mounted sensor hardware, integrating an Arduino Nano and GPS telemetry to capture hyper-local air quality data. I led the end-to-end physical-to-digital workflow from precision Rhino modeling and high-fidelity rendering to defining the logic-based data synchronization for the Microsoft Azure IoT dashboard.

I directed the technical narrative and product strategy, producing a high-impact pitch video that synthesized complex IoT workflows into a compelling vision for urban environmental intelligence. This synthesis proved the viability of using autonomous design systems to monitor and respond to invisible environmental threats in real-time.
